How to focus your camera and frame it ?

The video was filmed at the Grand Canal in Clanbrassil Street Upper, Harold’s Cross Road, Dublin 8. I shoot the scene from the Robert Emmett Bridge. A single-arch bridge that is over the Grand Canal. I chose a full shoot frame which shows the beautiful canal where the River Liffey flows. It says the canal joins with the main river Liffey that flows from the center of the Dublin.

I used the Flimicpro application from my iPhone. I first started by dragging the square focus reticle to set my focus point on the canal. Then I dragged my circular point on the view for a proper exposure shot. The view was overexposed due to the cloudy weather so I adjust the exposure reticle by 39 by swiping the left slide. After that, I locked my white balance by choosing the daylight option for my shot from the imaging icon in the lower left.

After all the settings were done, I started recording up to 1 minute. In the video, the weather was cloudy and windy at the same time. You can hear the wind throughout the video. On the riversides of the Canal, we can see the Dublin’s day to day life that beautifully blends with nature. The roads on both sides were busy with cars. Few people were walking by the canal. While I was shooting, I captured a moment of this beautiful swan swimming in the canal that made the view more stunning. You can hear the busy workers and cars passing by in the video.

Problems of high living cost for International student

It is the most important issue right now in Dublin.  But, it mostly affect international student like me. According to the report in Journal, Fraud, high rents and no accommodation are the issues for international students who are studying at Irish colleges and universities. The report also interviewed of one the student who commutes from Belfast three times a week because of the high rents in the city. Not only that, some international students have had experience fraud. According to European Commission-funded research by HousErasmus+ states that about 30% of international students had experienced some kind of fraud while staying here, it’s the highest level in Europe. I want to know what, why and when did the price of the accommodation hit the sky all of the sudden. I also if this governmental propaganda that have influence the rise of the price. I know it is not that such a new area to cover a story but I want to approach from the International student’s point of view. I will approach local people who used to be an international student, now they live here permanently. Then, compare differences of now and then. I will also add some clips related to this topic i.e. if there is any governmental propaganda behind it. I think this is my way to approach my documentary. This story will have different voice of students who are currently studying, local people and myself. The students will be from two colleges so that the show will have varieties. As, for the local people, I will survey them on the street. There will be three questions for each of them respectively. The question contains 3Ws according to my above approach. It starts with the viewer’s discretion advised and background facts about the living expense in Dublin in which the sources and statistics will be from online, books and some audio clips about this matter. The music will be minimum as it is not related to art and culture. In the second act, I will have interview with the students who are recently studying. In the third act, I interview to local people who used to an international student, now living and working permanently. Their transition from being an international student to a citizen of this country will be added to first act. In the end of the show, my voice will become the narrator where I will point out what, why and when did the price rose from the interviews. Ask the listeners to share your views on what they think about this issue and what an we do to solve this problem. For this, I will use the application called “Voice Record” and pre-record the voices of my interviewee. Then, I will structure my documentary along with my voice narration. I will use online and books for research and reference for facts. The audio clips will be from news about the subject that could a depth understand of the condition of international student living in a high cost rent or some political propaganda of the government. But, However, I will get the consent of my interviewee to talk about any sensitive issues during the pre- recordings.

There was a time when humans are afraid of unknown causes and death , but times have changed .It is the year of 3000 where humans are not subject of humanity itself but the subject of modern ideology and beliefs in their invention of the era that made some of the notorious mystery possible like aliens and serial killers .

It was the time of downfall of the modern society in Mars that human had created and made it possible along that way. This is the future story of reality that humans of today’s generation wondered and wondered into the sky starring the possibility of space adventure and inter- galactic relation that had erased the norms and value of the previous decade long civilization .

Going through of her  great great  grandparents old memories ,012A  wondered about their lives , taking note of their language and study their behavior through old picture and moving pictures that is called as films . She kept the fantasy of meeting them in herself as her own parents did not take the great pleasure to know about them . But, however , she wants to live the moment by going through the time travel which was a normal device to make daily routine for them . It was the time of her routine history lessons by their supervisor , where she learnt how her ancestors made discovery to adapt in their new home in Mars as their home earth as no longer . She also learnt how the other species came to being with humans and robots . 012A was surprise and fascinated by the evolution of this time that exist. As, for the time travel , there is a law on how much the energy from the sun is allowed to use the time itself to travel back and forth . It is illegal for someone to use excessive amount of sun energy to go back in ancient times almost a decade back. 1950s’ Irish history came alive through the lens

Rediscover the history

People are trapped in history and history is trapped in them

—James Baldwin

National Museum of Ireland decorative and History I Collins Barracks, Benburb Street, Dublin 7 held photo exhibition, Ireland in Focus: Photographing the 1950’s to celebrate the works of three photographers from France and North America. The exhibition will be held from 21st November,2019 to April 2020. The photography highlights the Irish history of 1950’s, showing the live hood of the people during that period of time.

The exhibition namely Ireland in Focus: Photographing the 1950’s captured the soul and essence of the people during that era. It’s the collections of these people that was created during the time where it was generally regarded as hardest decades in the twentieth-century in Ireland. The exhibition highlights the three photographer’s style of the portraying Ireland from the places they once visited. Among the three photographers, Henri-Cariter-Bresson’s photography was showcase. He is a world-renowned photographer who completed two photographic missions in Ireland. One was from Harper’s Bazaar magazine when he arrived in Dublin in June 1962. He travelled a lot of places in Ireland like Dublin, Kildare, Westmeath, Galway, Kerry, Cork, Tipperary. Kilkenny, Waterfond and Wexford. In the exhibition, his images include like landscapes, street scenes, portraits and public events that captured the timeless pieces from 1950s’ Ireland.

The Paris-Based Foundation Henri Cartier-Bresson loans over fifty images to the National Museum of Ireland for this exhibition. Many are exclusive, never shown before pictures and there are selected photographs from the photographic collections from the 1950’s along with other works of the photographer. There were the works from another renowned American photographer, Dorothea Lange who had travelled the Ireland in 1954 during the assignment on the Life magazine. Her works had a collection of photographs from County Clare. There, she took more than three thousand pictures which is a part of this exhibition. The Paris-based American Anthropologist, Robert Cresswell’s work was also showcase in this exhibition. He lived over a year in Kinvara, County Galway during 1955 and 1956 that was shown through his photography. He took over four hundred photographs in the place where he lived that includes a set of Kodakchrome Slides that was shown to the audiences as they pace towards other works of the photographers. His photography was taken as a part of his fieldwork and that captured the daily life of the rural community. He had published his finding on the based of what now we call as a part of seminal anthropological study of rural community, Une Communaute Rurale de l’lrlande.

The pictures range from the collection of day to day of the people minding their business where each photographer have captured the beautiful memoir of the old times and the way they carried out their framing to bonding with their families. You can really see such artistic style in a photography like that of the one particular picture by Robert Cresswell’s Corpus Christi Procession, Kinvara 1955-56 where you can feel as if you are inside that portrait of children marching down the street of Kinvara.
