I Vlog myself and talked about my experiences of living and studying here in Dublin, Ireland. The scene was shot at my room because I thought that audio quality will be better than shooting outside. I chose a close shot for the frame in this video because it will be able to focus mainly into the interviewee’s emotional aspect through this interview. It will help to convey the message of the video’s subject matter clearly. In the frame, there is an adjustment of the top wall composition where the wall slightly rides above my head. I used the Flimicpro application from my iPhone. I first started by dragging the square focus reticle to set my focus point on my face. Then I dragged my circular point on the view for a proper exposure shot. On that day, it was raining. My room didn’t give much light so I adjust the exposure reticle by 410, swiping the left slide. After that, I locked my white balance in an auto-locked on record for my shot from the imaging icon in the lower-left that shows AWB in the orange color. The temperature was 4517k whereas TINT shows +6k in my white balance After all the settings were done, I started recording up to 1 minute and 58 seconds. The lesson that I learnt was of many. First, you need to be persistent on taking video unless you got that right frame. From this exercise, I realise that without a proper technical knowledge, one cannot master the correct way to film with a proper lighting. Second, in the real scenario, I have to step up from my shyness and interview one as interviewing is the essence of Journalism.
